St John’s College is proud of the excellent results achieved by our Matriculants in the 2007 IEB Examinations. Congratulations to all our Matric pupils!
St John’s pupils once again achieved a 100% Matric pass rate with 94% achieving Matriculation endorsements and 40 pupils achieving ‘A’ aggregates.
THREE PUPILS WERE PLACED IN THE TOP 50 OF THE IEB EXAMINATIONS, NAMELY
AADIL MAYAT, JOHANN SITTMANN AND MELVYN LUBEGA
One pupil achieved 8 distinctions
Two pupils achieved 7 distinctions
Six pupils achieved 6 distinctions
Nine pupils achieved 5 distinctions
Of 127 candidates, notable successes were 220 subject distinctions achieved in the following higher grade subjects:
34 distinctions in Higher Grade Mathematics (NB: 26 pupils achieved over 90% of which 16 achieved 99% in HG Mathematics)

- 11 distinctions in Additional Mathematics
- 27 distinctions in Physical Science
- 26 distinctions in Biology
- 23 distinctions in English
- 20 distinctions in Geography
- 11 distinctions in Afrikaans
- 11 distinctions in History
- 9 distinctions in Computer Studies
- 7 distinctions in Art
- 8 distinctions in French
- 4 distinctions in Isizulu, second language
- 2 distinctions in Isizulu, third language
- 2 distinctions in Latin
- 2 distinctions in Italian
- 1 distinction in German
- 5 distinctions in Trinity Music HG (100% pass rate)
