St John’s College and Roedean School, in partnership, have established a Nursery School in spacious grounds adjacent to both schools.
Both St John’s and Roedean are committed to excellence and sound values – the foundation of all teaching and learning.

- The Bridge Nursery School is housed in a lovely old home situated in spacious grounds, adjacent to St John’s and Roedean in Houghton.

- The well-equipped and specifically designed playground offers exciting apparatus and ample opportunity for exploratory and creative play – essential dimensions for the growth and well-being of a nursery school child.

Curriculum
We focus on the holistic development of the child. This is all-encompassing and includes physical and perceptual motor development, language skills and enrichment, social emotional and intellectual development. Pottery is a most enjoyable part of our curriculum.
The learning programme includes a wide variety of extra-mural activities:
