Candidates must select three subjects (although certain subjects are tied, e.g. English and Physics, so only one of these can be chosen).

South African matriculants who have obtained South African university entrance are permitted to complete a one-year accelerated course to A-level and enter the Upper Sixth. Candidates with GCSE qualifications or the equivalent are admitted to Lower Sixth and spend two years to complete their A-level course.
Extra curricula topics are also introduced according to the demands of the current class. In addition, students wishing to apply to overseas.
